if viruses get into your computer it can cause some issues as losing data on your computer can not turn on. if you get a virus hacker might break into your system they an see everything you do on your computer they can delete your data etc in some cases if you have a web cam they can turn it on and record you in any situation , so it might be good to put blue tack or something like that on your cam when not using it .
they can also get your ip address and they can check where you live .
risks of using g mail and posterous is that someone can hack into your account can change or delete your posts . They can look through your work and see what you have done which you would want to stay between you and your teacher . Your emails are your personal thing and they are something that you don't show to everyone , and they are private , if someone hacked into your account they could go through your private stuff and they might of deleted some important stuff or they could even change your password and your details which means that you would not have any access to your account .

                          Risks and safety issues 

you have to make sure that you wont leave yourself logged in , in any sites like Facebook , twitter etc because someone can get on  to you account and change things like your details passwords etc and you would not have access to your account anymore . 

- you also should change your password regularly and make it strong so it would be hard to guess don't make your password things like your name or your pets name as it would be easy to guess if someone  knows you . 

- its also good to get some kind of antivirus like - Norton -  or avast to secure your computer against any viruses or hackers before they can get into your personal stuff . 

some people get cyber bullied it means that people make nasty comments towards you through for example Facebook or twitter cyber bullying can also happen through phone - text messages - when someone's harassing you by a text or just simply calls you names and all that what you can do is block that number on your phone so they cant text you or call you anymore , same with Facebook and twitter you can block that person so he/she cant communicate with you no more .

            G-mail and posterous 

posterous is a good way of communicating because it is free and you can access to it at any time and any place if you have wi-fi though . it is good because you don't have to pay to use it . if you use it at school and you didn't get to finish something you can always go home and finish it off when you have a free time .

g mail is a  good way of communicating because it also free and easy in use . if you have a g-mail account you can access to things like blog spot which is similar to posterous but its better you can also access a calendar which can send you an email reminder of upcoming event .Also it has a thing called " drive" which  has a power point , word etc so you can use it on any computer  without having to carry your pen drive with you .
